The Le Morandine candles, conceived in 1998, are a collection of candles whose shapes bring to mind the famous still lifes of Giorgio Morandi. The intention of this project, other than to pay tribute to the Great Master, is to enable people to "do as Morandi" to experience the same deep interaction that he had with the everyday objects he painted; a relationship totally focused on concepts of slight movement, time dilation and interior luminosity. The Le Morandine candles, with an opaque and chalky look, embody the waxy light of Morandi’s paintings. Individually handmade, they have an etched weave pattern, which is done by hand and makes every candle unique.

Le candele Le Morandine, ideate nel 1998, sono una collezione di candele le cui forme richiamano le famose nature morte di Giorgio Morandi. L`intenzione di questo progetto, oltre che un omaggio al grande Maestro, è di far avvicinare le persone al fare morandiano, all`esperienza di profonda interazione che lui stesso aveva con gli oggetti quotidiani che dipingeva; un rapporto tutto incentrato sui concetti di movimento impercettibile, di dilatazione temporale e di luminosità interiore. Le Morandine, dall’aspetto opaco e gessoso, incarnano la luce cerosa dei quadri di Morandi. Realizzate artigianalmente, presentano una graffiatura "a tela" eseguita manualmente, che le rende esclusive. La collezione in edizione limitata è al momento esaurita.
