Design of a silver necklace made to support the Il Nodo International Cooperation projects in Cambodia
Kepler is a necklace that offers a scale representation of our solar system. A slim chain joins the Sun, a sheet of silver, with spheres of various sizes: the planets. The Earth, almost invisible, is a tiny lapis lazuli stone.
Kepler reminds us how small we are in the universe, though how special we are. Our sky-blue planet is indeed perhaps the most precious thing we have.The space telescope Kepler was launched in 2009 to monitor a portion of the Milky Way to investigate dozens of planets similar to the Earth.
The international non profit organization Il Nodo operates mainly in Cambodia, where it helps young people to learn a skill to allow them achieve a better life.
Eighty-two jewellery projects that designers, architects and artists have created for the craft workshop project “Bottega dell’Arte” are collected together in a book, “Gioie d’autore – Il Nodo Projects for Life” The jewellery is made by young craftspeople from Phnom Penh and sold in Europe.

Progetto di collana in argento per la Bottega dell`Arte de Il Nodo.
Kepler è una collana che rappresenta, in scala, il nostro sistema solare. Dalla lastra d`argento, il Sole, si snoda una sottile catena interrotta da sfere di varia grandezza: i pianeti. La Terra, quasi invisibile, è una pietra minuscola e azzurra.
Kepler ci ricorda quanto siamo piccoli nell`universo, eppure così speciali. Il nostro pianeta azzurro è il bene più prezioso. Il telescopio spaziale Kepler è stato lanciato nel 2009 per monitorare una porzione di Via Lattea e scoprire dozzine di pianeti simili alla Terra.
La Onlus internazionale Il Nodo opera prevalentemente in Cambogia, dove aiuta i giovani a imparare un mestiere e dare loro una chance concreta per una vita migliore.
Un libro, "Gioie d`autore - Il Nodo Progetti di Vita" raccoglie gli 82 progetti di bijoux che designer, architetti e artisti hanno creato per il progetto "Bottega dell`Arte". I gioielli sono realizzati dai giovani artigiani di Phnom Penh e venduti in Europa.
